57 days to go!
A lot has happened in the last 1 1/2 months.....
We're getting married on January 28, 2010!
I'm really blessed to have a mother in law to be who is super helpful. Without her, we wouldn't have accomplished a lot in such a short time.
Just want to share my final motif. I love this combination. It exudes so much happiness

Finally! :-D
It has been more than 3 months since I last wrote here. Well, I have been busy with a lot of things...things that I don't really want to divulge anymore...hehehe...
Anyways, I think I would be writing more from now on (well, if my schedule permits) since.....I am now officially engaged! Yahoo! Yes, may patutunguhan na ang mga nireresearch ko. Will write about the proposal some other time but I will just share our proposal pictures for now.

dresses by myke perfecto
My gown and the gowns of the entourage will be made (most probably) by Myke Perfecto. He's a friend from the community and he has made 2 dresses for me. The 1st one was a cocktail dress I wore to an office event in March 2008. The fit was perfect plus I loved the cloth he used. Ang ganda ng bagsak! The 2nd dress was for Lec's wedding. I was one of the bridesmaids.
Myke is highly recommended by other friends from the community. He has made dresses for my aunt and cousin also. So far, I've had no bad experience with him. That's why I recommended him to Lec since she was scouting for an affordable but very good couturier.
The result? Well, I didn't receive any negative feedback from Lec regarding Myke and his services. Plus look at Lec's gown! Ang ganda di ba?! Lec said she saw this at Veluz' website and fell in love with it.
If you're interested, leave a message with your email so I can send you his contact details.

black might not be good
My H2B reminded me that he has Chinese blood and so having black as a dominant color may not be such a good idea. I am really disappointed right now. I was so into the combination already and I knew that having black in the motif would make our wedding different.
I am really sad.....

Our 1st monthsary
We didn't get to celebrate or spend our 1st monthsary together. We had a misunderstnading.
I ended up giving my gift the day after. Here's what I made for him....

The 1st wedding we went to together
One of my dearest friends got married last May. I was really honored to be chosen as one of her bridesmaids. We've known each other since high school so mga 18 years na kami magkakilala!
Grabe, ang tanda na namin!
I actually wasn't sure if I will be able to make it to her wedding. My mom passed away a few days before the event and I wasn't sure if I would be up to the celebration. But she is a special and important person in my life and I love her dearly so I decided to be there for her on her very special day. You can view pictures at their photogrpaher's site. Her gown was perfect, right? Friend ko gumawa nun. If you want details, leave a comment and your email.
Of course, my ever supportive baby was with me. It was our first formal event ever. He looked really handsome in his barong. Hmmm...paano kaya kung naka-tux naman siya?
I am loving this combination!
I think I'm leaning towards the black, white and yellow combination.
Here are some more inspiration boards that I found....
Originally from this site but blog has been removed. Saw this at Wedding Fanatic.
This one's from Zinke Design.
Plus I'm loving this box I saw at The Perfect Palette (originally from Wedding Outlet but I couldn't find it there).

Thinking of themes and color combinations...
I'm gonna keep on writing while I still have time...
I collect fish-themed items. I loved the movie Finding Nemo. Initially, I was thinking of incorporating fish in my wedding theme and using the colors found in an aquarium. However, I also love the color purple and was thinking of using a color combination with shades of violet. We haven't decided yet so I'm also exploring other options.
Here are some that I liked from Snippet & Ink......
Mood: simple summer whimsy
Palette: sunny yellow, sweet peach, grass green
I also like yellow because it's a happy color!
Mood: flashy, retro fun
Palette: bright red, silver, with bits of black and white
Hmmm...Red is really not my color but I'm starting to like it.
Mood: simple and sweet
Palette: violet, white, shades of gray
I love purple!
Mood: retro chic meets modern sleek
Palette: kelly green, glossy black and white
I'm loving green, too!
Mood: bold, fun, flamboyant
Palette: marigold, fuchsia
I like this combination!
Mood: bold romance
Palette: black, yellow, white, touches of green
Mood: Bohemian Morocco
Palette: fuschia, red, orange, gold
Mood: lavish elegance
Palette: aubergine, chocolate, white
Another version for purple....
So many choices to make!!!!

Scouting for great photographers w/ affordable packages
Photo is one of my top priorities (the other one being food) for our wedding. I've always known what type I wanted. Gusto ko yung parang puro candid. I think it's called photojournalism. When I started checking out the rates of the more known photographers, grabe ang mamahal! Mga P60-80K na yung cheapest package. For some, those rates still didn't include videography. So kumusta naman yun di ba?! Joe doesn't believe in spending almost a P100K for just the photo and video. Sayang naman talaga kung iisipin especially now that there are a lot of budding photogrpahers who are also good but with way cheaper packages.
Here are some that I (basta within budget, I'm sure go na si Joe ) am considering:
1) Extreme Details Photography - we saw them at the Celebrations Bridal fair at SMX; packages were reasonable; I liked their album layout plus their packages included a sort of exhibit display at your reception; visit them here
2) Daniel Lei Studio - read about them at GirlTalk at femalenetwork.com; pictures look great too; check them out at this site
3) RedSheep Photogrpahy - also found them at GirlTalk; mukhang ok naman pictures and rates though parang wala pa silang video; see their site
I'm still on the lookout for more choices. Any suggestions?
