black might not be good

My H2B reminded me that he has Chinese blood and so having black as a dominant color may not be such a good idea. sedih I am really disappointed right now. I was so into the combination already and I knew that having black in the motif would make our wedding different.

I am really sad.....nangih

Our 1st monthsary

We didn't get to celebrate or spend our 1st monthsary together. sedih We had a misunderstnading.
sedih I ended up giving my gift the day after. Here's what I made for him....

The 1st wedding we went to together

One of my dearest friends got married last May. I was really honored to be chosen as one of her bridesmaids. We've known each other since high school so mga 18 years na kami magkakilala!
jelir Grabe, ang tanda na namin! gelakguling

I actually wasn't sure if I will be able to make it to her wedding. My mom passed away a few days before the event and I wasn't sure if I would be up to the celebration. But she is a special and important person in my life and I love her dearly so I decided to be there for her on her very special day. You can view pictures at their photogrpaher's site. Her gown was perfect, right? senyum Friend ko gumawa nun. kenyit If you want details, leave a comment and your email.

Of course, my ever supportive baby was with me. It was our first formal event ever. He looked really handsome in his barong. Hmmm...paano kaya kung naka-tux naman siya? fikir

I am loving this combination!

I think I'm leaning towards the black, white and yellow combination. sengihnampakgigi

Here are some more inspiration boards that I found....

Thinking of themes and color combinations...

I'm gonna keep on writing while I still have time...Tongue Out

I collect fish-themed items. I loved the movie Finding Nemo. Initially, I was thinking of incorporating fish in my wedding theme and using the colors found in an aquarium. However, I also love the color purple and was thinking of using a color combination with shades of violet. We haven't decided yet so I'm also exploring other options.

Here are some that I liked from Snippet & Ink......

Mood: simple summer whimsy
Palette: sunny yellow, sweet peach, grass green

I also like yellow because it's a happy color!

Mood: flashy, retro fun
Palette: bright red, silver, with bits of black and white

Hmmm...Red is really not my color but I'm starting to like it. Thinking

Mood: simple and sweet
Palette: violet, white, shades of gray

I love purple!

Mood: retro chic meets modern sleek
Palette: kelly green, glossy black and white

I'm loving green, too!

Mood: bold, fun, flamboyant
Palette: marigold, fuchsia

I like this combination!Teethy

Mood: bold romance
Palette: black, yellow, white, touches of green

Mood: Bohemian Morocco
Palette: fuschia, red, orange, gold

Mood: lavish elegance
Palette: aubergine, chocolate, white

Another version for purple....Roll

So many choices to make!!!!

Scouting for great photographers w/ affordable packages

Photo is one of my top priorities (the other one being food) for our wedding. I've always known what type I wanted. Gusto ko yung parang puro candid. Happy I think it's called photojournalism. When I started checking out the rates of the more known photographers, grabe ang mamahal! Mga P60-80K na yung cheapest package. For some, those rates still didn't include videography. So kumusta naman yun di ba?! Joe doesn't believe in spending almost a P100K for just the photo and video. Sayang naman talaga kung iisipin especially now that there are a lot of budding photogrpahers who are also good but with way cheaper packages.

Here are some that I (basta within budget, I'm sure go na si Joe Tongue Out ) am considering:

1) Extreme Details Photography - we saw them at the Celebrations Bridal fair at SMX; packages were reasonable; I liked their album layout plus their packages included a sort of exhibit display at your reception; visit them here

2) Daniel Lei Studio - read about them at GirlTalk at femalenetwork.com; pictures look great too; check them out at this site

3) RedSheep Photogrpahy - also found them at GirlTalk; mukhang ok naman pictures and rates though parang wala pa silang video; see their site

I'm still on the lookout for more choices. Any suggestions?Happy

Our 1st choice for ceremony venue

I've always thought of having an out of town wedding. However, I was hesitant because it might be inconvenient for everyone. Fortunately, Joe also wanted a wedding other than in Manila. We decided on Tagaytay since we are both from the south and Tagaytay is somewhat special for us. Winky

I want my wedding to be different. Ayaw ko dun sa mga common. That's why I didn't look into Caleruega or Chapel on the Hill anymore. I wanted a not so popular venue but of course, still charming and beautiful. Buti na lang we found San Antonio de Padua Parish in Silang, Cavite. Happy We haven't seen the church but based from pictures from the net, mukhang maganda siya. Happy [Picture above taken from http://www.panoramio.com/photo/16675674] I saw some more pictures at Mimi and Karl's photography website.

Our 1st picture as an official couple ;-)

We became a couple officially on April 4, 2009. Roll Sinagot ko siya sa car after dinner at Som's in Rockwell.

It has just been 2 months and we're talking about a wedding already?! Well, we've known each other for more than 2 years and have been good friends for the most part of it (minsan magkaaway kami). Plus he has liked me since the 1st time he saw me! (i love you, hunny!) Winky He has loved me all this time even if I thought he was just a friend (in denial pa ako e Tongue Out). When I finally realized that I love him more than as a friend, there was no turning back. I'm not getting any younger and I'm not into playing games anymore. So saan pa ba ito papunta? If you are sure then why waste time? Happy

Welcome to my wedding blog! =)

I decided to start this new blog because I wanted one where I could focus on all wedding stuff. Happy Am I getting married? Winky Well. . . . . YES. Bounce However, my baby has not proposed formally (no engagement ring yet) and we really haven't told anyone (well, he told his mom already). I have no plans of sharing this blog yet to any of our relatives and friends. Maybe when there are more concrete plans. Winky

I just want a venue where I could document everything (well hopefully almost everything). It would be nice to look back on all the preparations and the planning stage.

We plan on getting married next year, on October 4, 2010 to be exact. The number 4 is a significant one for us, more so for my baby. I'll probably write on that more some other time. WinkyHowever, that will be a Monday and I'm not so keen on having a weekday wedding. We'll probably go for the nearest Saturday which is October 2 or perhaps even October 9. Bahala na Winky

I am doing this even without the ring because I am sure that my baby is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. We do fight quite often but we always manage to sort things. Even with the frequent misunderstandings, I still can say that I AM HAPPY with this person and that my life will not be complete without him. I may not show him all the time but I do love him very much.

Join me as I count the days till we start our life together and attain perpetual bliss. Teethy
