Coordinator: MCC Events

I super love Ate Mayette also! sengihnampakgigi

She was referred to me by Daniel Lei Studio. They had nothing but good words for Ate Mayette. Actually, Lei suggested two coordinators and I texted them both. However, Ate Mayette was more accommodating and warm when responding to my queries. So even if she was pricier (way above our budget jelir), we decided to get MCC Events for our On the Day coordination.

Even if we availed of her OTD package only, I felt that we got more for what we paid for. Ate Mayette was really helpful. As in, SUPER helpful! She even went with us to scout for our invites supplier and she was the one who referred us to our florist. She also was the one who bought our white bible and the gold fish we needed for our reception. Bait talaga! She would have accompanied us also when we had our prenup but it was her birthday so of course, we didn't mind. Our place cards and guest book were also lovingly made by Ate Mayette.

I do recommend Ate Mayette and her team. Sulit siya talaga!

Caterer: Center Table Catering

CTC (Center Table Catering) is another highly recommended supplier. I super love them also! I didn't encounter any problem with them. Our AE was Rina and she was just so accommodating and helpful. I think most (if not all) of our requests were granted! kenyit Food was super YUMMY and we got a great deal from them! sengihnampakgigi Some guests are still raving about the baked cream dory! I was also super happy with how they decorated the couple's table and backdrop (see picture in Official snaps page).

I was considering several caters for our wedding. I sent queries via text messaging and emails. We were also able to attend other grand food tasting events ( Hizon's and Josiah's). But hubby and I found the food ordinary for their prices. On our 1st food tasting with CTC, we fell in love with the food (and their packages) instantly! We had 2 more food tastings in which we brought along my MIL and a friend.

If I will get married again (of course to the same man!), I will not hesitate to get CTC again as my caterer.

RSVP

When your wedding is on a weekday, friendship bonds (and even family ties) are tested. jelir

Of course, I originally wanted our wedding to be held on a weekend. Unfortunately, since we moved our wedding 9 months earlier, the available dates for the ceremony and reception venues were limited. We had to find venues (since we chose the south for our wedding, choices within our budget were limited also) that were available on the same date. We settled for January 28, 2010, which fell on a Thursday. Most people have work and will still have work the following day. I can't demand that family and friends take a leave just for my wedding but if they really love me, I know that I don't need to demand or ask even. kenyit

We were expecting quite a number to be present at our wedding because they said so. However, some who confirmed didn't make it. Some informed me on the day itself ( I'm still grateful for the advance notice but it was still too late to make changes anymore) but there were others who didn't inform me directly. I had to ask common friends why they were not there and for the others, I just assumed it was because of work.

At that time, I didn't really feel bad because I was just so happy I got married. But after a few weeks, I felt a bit sad about it. Nope, I'm not mad. Maybe a bit tampo (matampuhin pa naman ako jelir). My husband limited his invited guests so that he can give way to my guests. Tapos yun pala, hindi din naman pupunta. Baaaad!!!! Sayang. I felt bad for my hubby. sedih

I just wish people will learn to take the RSVP part seriously. If they need to change their reply for some reason, I hope they inform the person who invited them ASAP. I feel that it's a privilege to be invited to any event and it's just right to give a straight answer if you will be attending or not.

Ano nga ba ang RSVP?

The term RSVP comes from the French expression "répondez s'il vous plaît", meaning "please respond". If RSVP is written on an invitation it means the invited guest must tell the host whether or not they plan to attend the party. It does not mean to respond only if you're coming, and it does not mean respond only if you're not coming (the expression "regrets only" is reserved for that instance). It means the host needs a definite head count for the planned event, and needs it by the date specified on the invitation.

For us, the head count was very crucial. Our final venue depended on it. If we were expecting more than a certain number, we needed to move the event to the poolside area, which was what happened. Looking back, I think we could have made some adjustments so that we could fit inside the indoor venue, which was my first choice.

Well, I am still happy with those who came to our wedding. Na prove ko kung sino talaga ang may love sa akin! jelir I was so happy to see some faces I haven't seen in a long time and I am so thankful to everyone who made sacrifices just to be with me on my special day.

I still felt so loved!!! sengihnampakgigi

Another bride's maid dress

I love weddings and I am happy that I will surely be attending two.

I will be one of the secondary sponsors in one wedding next year. I need to submit my measurements and my preferred gown design ASAP. I want to go to the designer myself but due to my really busy schedule, it seems that I would just have to send them thru email.

Here are two designs that I am choosing from:

The First Time We Met :-D

Luckily, Joe and I have something to remind us of how we met each other. sengihnampakgigi

Joe and I met at GK Sison in Muntinlupa. GK is for Gawad Kalinga. I was a volunteer and Joe was there as part of their office's outreach program. It was November 18 in 2006. We became group mates for the Christmas party presentation. I think we were Group No. 4.

I can't find the actual file anymore but I was able to scan the printed picture. I got this from the scrapbook I made for him a year ago.

By the way, I gave him the scrapbook on the day that I said yes to become his girlfriend. malu It was April 4, 2009.

Photo Booth: Play With Me Photo Booth

I was reading the latest issue of Entrepreneur magazine when I saw that our photo booth supplier was featured there. The magazine's focus for the month was about Multiply sellers/suppliers. That's where I actually found them! sengihnampakgigi

My rating: senyumsenyumsenyum

Again, dapat sulit na naman yung makukuha ko na supplier for this. Yun yung iniisip ko nun. Multiply is really a great site to find suppliers. Buti, I found them! At that time, I felt that their packages were very sulit! Yung 3-hour package nila was equivalent to just the 2-hour packages of other suppliers! They also promptly replied to my text messages and emails. When I sent them the file for my backdrop, they politely asked if they could edit it. senyum Hehehe. . .ako lang kasi gumawa nun e. jelir

Unfortunately, hubby and I were not able to enjoy our photo booth a lot. sedih Isang set lang kaya yung pictures namin! Plus one with my college friends. Nagsara na sila kaagad eh. sedih Naubusan na raw ng paper. sedih

I browsed through their website again and saw that their packages have improved a lot! Actually, mas naging mura na ngayon mga photo booths! After 10 months lang, dami na improvements!

Here are our photo booth pictures...

Prenup Venue: The Lakeshore

We held our prenup pictorial at The Lakeshore in Pampanga.

My rating: senyumsenyum

I was looking for a venue with a light house. I only had a few choices due to travel time from Manila and budget. kenyit Fortunately, I found out about this place.

We had so much fun during our prenup. Sayang because we were not able to take a group picture. We went with our good friends, Glo-Ann and Mark; our HMU, Raven and of course Daniel's team (Daniel, Jo and Pau). Super bait pa yung driver namin that time. I forgot lang his name and we loved his car kasi puro hello kitty!

Before heading off to the Lakeshore, we dropped by the Total station along NLEX. Actually, we had our make up session there and we shot some of the scenes for our on site video. kenyit

Here are some pictures taken by my good friend, Glo-Ann...
